Duties of Committees and Officers of KAEMT

Awards Committee:

The Awards Committee is composed of a chairperson and up to 3 additional committee members. This committee solicits nominations for KAEMT of the Year and provides the membership with nomination forms, and advises the Executive Board of the nominees. The Awards Committee writes a letter informing the award winner's supervisor of the award and a certificate. The KAEMT of the Year will receive a plague and a free renewed 1-year membership. The committee will meet in May of each year to prepare and write letters for nominations for the award. Announcements for nominations will be none first to the Web site and newsletter in June then to other agencies as needed.
Awards committee should prepare to meet the last week of August to make their choice from the nominees received and to order plagues, prepare letters and certificates by the 1st of September. The Awards Committee and the President of KAEMT or their designee will present the award at the fall conference. The Awards Committee will provide Award Guidelines to be approved by the membership and post to the web site and newsletter.
